FYI, this also fixes #1884903, so it would be nice to get it merged.

Unfortunately version 1.2.0 is still packaged in recent Fedora releases. It would be nice if it can be upgraded to at least version 1.2.2. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.

Same here, I would be happy to co-maintain. I have opened a new PR for 1.3.0: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/gajim/pull-request/3

Will Gajim 1.3 be updated in Fedora 33 then as well?
I'd rather at least have Gajim 1.2.0 updated to 1.2.2 in Fedora 33 and then maybe Gajim 1.3.x in Fedora 34. But I do not know the update policy in Fedora.

Gajim 1.3.0 has some bugs that will be fixed in Gajim 1.3.1.
