- add patch from upstream CVS to handle sparse files on ext[23]
    - make geometry detection a little bit more robust/correct
    - use O_DIRECT when reading/writing from devices. use aligned buffers as
        needed for read/write (#125808)
    - actually apply the i2o patch
    - detect cciss/cpqarray devices better (#123249)
